There is an access plug on top of the case to get to the spark plug without all that work. Carb comes off easy with the main panel removed.

I have a predator 1400 for a year used on camping trips...
The other day I notice is leaking from the bottom ...and shutdown immediately..
Did you know or may suggest how difficult will be to fix it...

My predator is over 800 hours when it started to work rough, I've changed out the plug to ngk it starts right away but still runs but rough. So at around 860 hours I took it apart and about to clean the carb. Hope that helps also will install the fuel filter

I came here because some of the 2000 inverters all 3 recoil bolts thread out fine. Some one bolt comes right out and the other 2 you have to rip the entire black front piece off to get to the nuts holding the recoil housing on the backside. Definitely not very maintenance friendly designed. Especially when they come with a crappy pull rope that wears out faster then anyone I've ever seen in 50 yrs.

I don't know what you're talking about when you say the carb on the Honda EU2000 is hard to remove. One screw to remove the side panel cover then one screw and two nuts - all easily accessible - and the carb comes right off. Much easier than the Predator. I live on a boat in salt water and my Honda has run way longer than my neighbors Predator. Also, to replace the pull-starter cord, you just remove 10 screws and the case splits open, then you just lift the fuel tank out and the pull-starter is right in front of you.

Consider yourself lucky instead of being dismissive. I've had my predator 2000 for less than 30 days and I can barely keep it running. I followed the manual and I've take good care of it. These things are trash.
