Join me on a visit to Stonehenge, the World famous prehistoric monument and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Stonehenge is situated on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, England, and construction on the monument began 5000 years ago. It is undoubtedly one of the most recognisable landmarks in the world, and one of the U.K’s most popular tourist attractions.
I visited in January 2023, and being out of season it was pleasantly crowd free. My entry ticket cost £20, which included use of the shuttle buses.
Stonehenge is situated approximately 90 miles west of London, and is easily reached via coach trips from the capital.
