Helinox Chair ZERO VS. REI Flexlite Air, NEW 2022!

I'm returning the Flexlite as the quality is not what I was looking for and the damage to the fabric. I DO NOT recommend the Flexlite for anyone over 150 lbs the Helinox is very comfortable and Im 5 11 200lbs. The fabric on the Helinox is VERY HIGH quality, while the Flexlite by REI is very thin, mine having 4 puncher marks from the factory. NOT COOL!, there is no comparison and the $30 increase in price over the Flexlite is justified. I would not even consider the Flexlite now that Ive sat in the Helinox. The Flexlite feels more stool like, rather than chair like

Quality who wins?

Helinox has better cordage, better DAC poles that are labeled, made in Korea, Larger wider legs, Cover is thicker and better quality RIP STOP Poly verse the Flexlites Rip stop Nylon

The 10 degree leg angle is what all of us have come to enjoy, the Flexlite has a 20 degree departure, making the seat feel stool like. The fabric is to thin on the Flexlight, punchers will be an issue. The bag for the Flexlight is not a keeper, very hard to open /close and bulky. I like the Flexlights seat if I was cooking between my legs, may working a stick with my knife. Its a stool for a larger person like myself

My LIST of BEST SO FAR CHECKOUT THE PLAYLIST!

Not all my stuff ends up on the BEST list, sometimes the 2nd best is on sale, but these are the best in my option, no compromise but still reasonable.

This review seems exceedingly biased, just looking for issues to hate the REI brand

I have the Flex light Air and have used it on a few trips now. I agree it is quite unstable. I'm 5'9" about 175 and if the dirt is even a little bit soft you feel like you're going to fall over. It's still a nice light chair but the stability has me looking to buy the Helinox after using the flex light for a while.

I enjoy my Flexlite chair, but that’s just me. Everybody has their own preferences. I went for the Flexlite because it’s slightly lighter and I do big mile days, and I have a bad lower back. I wouldn’t be sitting in my chair for more than thirty minutes.

Thanks I found the flexlite on sale for 70 dollars but still not convinced on it... Think I'd rather the helinox.

Good comparison. Same size have Flexlite Air feels ok setup is not bad and beats the ground. Got for around $50 during REI brand sale, but If price was similar I'd get Helinox. Hope it holds up.

I have had a flexlight on a few trips, been a great chair and was much cheaper than a Helinox which was originally what I was going to get, I find for messing with stuff at ground level the flexlight air was better.

As a 5 foot 4 inch 135 lb person the flexlite air feels perfectly fine to me. I can see a bigger taller person not finding it very stable though.
