UKRAINE BOMBARDMENT IN RUSSIAN OIL REFINERY

MOSCOW March 12 - Ukraine launched a series of drone and rocket strikes targeting locations within Russia on Tuesday, causing significant damage to a major oil refinery and attempting to breach the land borders of the world's largest nuclear power with armed proxies.

Kyiv has recently targeted Russian refineries and energy facilities. Russia reported that Ukrainian proxies attempted to breach the Russian border in at least seven incidents, all of which were repelled by Russian forces.

Ukrainian proxies, predominantly Russian-speaking, claimed to have crossed the border, a claim that Russia refuted. In one of the most extensive drone attacks by Ukraine on Russia thus far, Moscow stated that it had intercepted 25 Ukrainian drones over various regions, including Moscow, Leningrad, Belgorod, Kursk, Bryansk, Tula, and Oryol. The defense ministry reported ongoing waves of drone attacks throughout the day.
