I’m of the mindset that Matt Rhule had this planned as soon as the injury to Blye Hill occurred. It wasn’t a decision made today. Buford has made an impact and is a leader. I think it’s a sound decision. Not a sign of weakness

Your apprehension is well-founded, but imma cling to the notion that Marques has the tools to succeed and there are some talented underclassmen behind him .... any one of which could ball-out and take the position if Blye Hill doesn't make it back. Yeah ... I'm nervous, but i think we'll be impressed with our DBs by mid-season. GBR!!!

I understand the concern with players moving positions, but I trust Buford to play corner and make a positive impact. He’ll force some fumbles

You ever think that maybe John butler sees something more in Buford at corner then Evan cooper did with him at safety

I’m not convinced that it’s due to lack of confidence in the other corners I think it’s more about keeping talent on the field. I’d be much more worried if someone was moving from corner to safety.

I think the cornerback room is deep but inexperienced. Usually cornerback is easier to learn than many other positions on the team also so I believe we will be OK here.

The problem is, if you move Buford to corner, you take away a coverage Safety. Gifford and Singleton are run stoppers and Hartzog is unproven. Hopefully someone can develop and step up at CB so that Buford can go back to Safety.

Not concerned. We have other talent there that he must be playing better than. He has good ball skills. Most of all if Rhule and Butler trust him, who are we to say this is concerning.

I don’t think rhule is worried about it, he said he wants the best 5 players we’ve seen Buford play zone and man while at safety he’s a great coverage guy look out for him to make a big splash
