Wicked wind and dust storms in my area lately...

I think a lot of the 'sea level rise' are, as you say, actual land sinkage...but not only due to ice age land compression rebound or sinkage, but more sinkage and crustal reaction to the large scale removal of the crusts' hydrolic systems...gas oil and aquifers...
