Joey King was so mesmerising as Gypsy, you really forgot that you were watching an actress. She's wasting her talents in romcoms like "The Kissing Booth" and "A Family Affair."

What Gypsy’s mother did to her was so horrible, I can’t imagine anyone doing that to their child, except that we know that she was severely mentally ill. Her parents refused to pay for a funeral, and flushed her ashes down the toilet.

The Girl From Plainville. Elle Fanning looks like a mixture of Michelle Carter and Cara Delevinge. I remember someone pointed out the irony of the actor who played Conrad in the show where in real life, Conrad committed suicide, while in Dear Evan Hansen, he also commits suicide and isn't present throughout much of the movie.

The Jeffrey Dahmer story is really scary. They even got his apartment to look like the actual apartment.

"I called you and called you and you did nothing" is heartbreaking

Thanks for mentioning I Am the Night. The series is very sanitized compared to what actually happened.
If you're interested in the rest of the story I strongly recommend the podcast Root of Evil: The True Story of The Hodel Family and The Black Dahlia. But I'll also give a HUGE warning with that recommendation, it's possibly the most f*cked up story I've ever heard

I'm sorry, but there was no way that Candy should have been found not guilty. I understand Candy's severe trauma, but come on.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard's story supports my belief that murder doesn't necessarily mean evil because with the world as it is a lot of people deserve to die. But I'm not the type to murder anyone.

The movie "A Killing in a Small Town" is how I found out about the Candy Montgomery case. This was way before both of the series came out. Barbara Hershey played Candy perfectly it was a good movie.

True Crime doesn’t have “spoilers” these were real people who dealt with real tragedies. Don’t be gross.

I´m not a big fan of this True Crime Hype. The Networks make money of these crimes and I´m not sure that they consider the pain, misery and grief of the victims families/ friends. And there were already cases were they didn´t. It´s something different when they make a documentary and the family/ friends or even investigators consent to be a part of it. But it´s disgusting to exploid the trauma of others for financial gain and risking a re- traumatisation.

The Lafferty brothers are also a perfect example of that hypocrisy taken to the extreme!

Abducted in Plain Sight is one of the most concerning doco's i've ever watched. How could the parents be so incredibly gullible, selfish and stupid? Before the first kidnapping a 40 year old man convinced the parents to let him sleep in a bed with their 12 year old daughter for "therapy"? HE HAS HIS OWN CHILDREN! Then Jan gets kidnapped, taken to Mexico for over a month and marries the man and they drop the charges and the mother starts an affair with him?! WTF! Then they didn't even report the second kidnapping for 2 weeks for whatever reason? I felt sick watching the parents try to explain their way out of it. There is no excuse of "we didn't know stuff like that happened".. He kidnapped your 12 year old daughter, takes her to Mexico, marries her and threatens to never bring her home unless the you allow the marriage. Then not only do they drop the charges, but start an affair with this man and let him back in the house with the child?
