I'll always remember the time me and brother waited outside the Cliff to see the players and try get autographs. We got over a dozen and then Sir Alex (before he was a Sir mind, this was 1997) he rolled down his window and took our pen and little note book and began writing. He looked up and uttered the words, " Lads, your pen has run out of ink."
We were gutted, he then let over to his glovebox and used his own pen. He handed the pen over with our notebook and when I tried to tell him is his pen he let us keep it! I've still got the pen to this very day!
