Real nice song Thunder, you never fail to put a smile on my face, please enjoy this story Thunder, as well as anyone who reads this.

"Commander, the governments fleet as arrived."

A man in his mid forties rose from a chair, he had black combat armor with a Golden symbol on the upper right shoulder guard. "It's about time we showed these fools the power of the New Knights of the Golden Circle. Prepare phalanx maneuver sigma and power up the Kentic Cannons and the beam disruptors."

"Yes sir! All fleets begin phalanx maneuver sigma and power up all weapons. Sir we have a transmission coming from the government flagship."

"Put it up." Said the commander.

"This is General Talon of the O.E.G Decimator, I'll give you this one chance Commander Stoneridge to power down your weapons and surrender your forces, need i remind you you are outnumbered and outgunned, you will not win. Your long dead ideals will die with you if continue down this path this is you r first and final warning."

"Ensign record this message and relay it to the Flagship, My dear commander as Winston Churchill said in response to the demand of the surrender of the British Isles, We shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall protect our assets whatever the cost may be, we never surrender! Ensign relay that message."

"Yes, sir relaying message, sir a message is being sent from the flagship."

"Then die in obscurity."

"Don't you know commander, i am already a legend." The Commander placed a battle helmet over his head and activated the comms, "This is Commander Stoneridge of the K.G.C Starlight prepare to broadside!" All the ships in the Commanders small fleets' main batteries turned to face the opposing force "Fire!" The ships main batteries and secondaries open fired unleashing a deadly torrent of plasma beams, tungsten penetrator's and Kentic rounds slamming into the enemy force.

Hours later as the citizens of Earth stared at the sky hopeful. Suddenly over the entire Earths communication network there came a voice "Citizens of Earth, we have won!" Came the voice of Commander Stoneridge.

I was flying a match in DCS with 2 buddies of mine (One of thems a pilot for a living, the other ones working on a pilot's licence.), we were flying a patrol route over some city, got baited in by a Su27. We engaged the Su27, or my buddies did while I flew nearby looking for any other threats. I got a radar contact. Then another, and another, and 2 more. One of my buddies (Bunny, he's the pilot) plugged an Aim-9M right into the Su27's engines. Both of them burst into flames, and the pilot ejected. They rejoined me, and we flew to the threat. Now, in arcade-y games like Warthuder, being outnumbered 3:4 is no big deal. In simulators like DCS, being outnumbered 3:4 is a big deal.  Considering each of us was flying light, too (Only Bunny was carrying missiles, we didnt expect ANY contacts), it put us at a real disadvantage. The Su27s were just as good, some might even say better than, the F15 as long as the pilot knew how to fly them. The Su27s were pretty scattered. They all had a spacing of a good 3 nautical miles between them. The first Su27 engaged me, I saw him launch a heat-seeking missile, I deployed 4 flares and broke its lock. I was flying at about 500 knots, which is about the speed of sound, so it didnt take long at all for him to get into gun range. He flew straight at me, and I let my gun go. It was a satisfying sound. His cockpit exploded, and the fuselage burst into flames. The next Su27 engaged Wolf, the third guy I was flying with. The Su27 launched a thermal missile, and a radar-guided one at the same time. He chaffed, thinking there was only the radar guided missile, and the thermal missile hit him in the fuselage. He was leaking a crapload of fuel, and his number 1 engine had burst into flame. For a few moments it looked like he'd go down, but he stabilized, pitched his nose up, and got a nice few hits down the center of the hostile plane. He knocked it's left elevator off, and it lost control and spiraled to the ground. The last 2 Su27s were in a lot better formation than the previous 2 were. They were organized, and that was scary. Bunny launched a thermal missile at the lead Su27, and it flared it off. It retaliated with 2 thermal missiles. Bunny flared the first off, thinking the other one had also been flared off. He realized just in time that it hadn't, and jerked the his flight stick to the left, narrowly evading the missile. the second SU27 launched 2 thermals at bunny aswell. He only saw one, and flared it off. Still recovering from the evasion, he never saw the second one. he was only flying about 100m from me. I saw the missile slam into his plane, about 5 feet down from the nose. The whole cockpit exploded in a ball of shrapnel and death, both his engines burst into flames, his left wing came off, and his fuselage caught on fire. I flew right by the 2 Su27s, and banked hard. I could just barely get a shot on the Su27 I was chasing, I let a burst go. It hit, but no severe damages. I looked in my mirror, and to my surprise and horror, the other Su27 was right behind me. He fired at me with his gun, the rounds didn't miss. I heard a loud bang noise, and a screech from my left engine. I glanced at my engine tachometer/thermometers, and it confirmed my suspicion. The burst had nailed my number 1 engine. It was destroyed, spinning at 109% maximum RPM at 1100 degrees. I shut it down, the screech died off. My AI informed me that my hydraulics had been compromised. I really felt the loss of control at the speed I was going. I straighted my plane out, as the Su27 came in for me, and right as he was lining me up, I jerked back hard on my joystick. I heard the stall warnings go off, the Over-G alarm go off, and a roar as the Su27, on full afterburn, raced right by me. I leveled out, pushed throttle to full afterburn as well on my last engine, and took off after him. I lined him up with my gun, let a short burst go. The rounds missed by about 2 feet. I adjusted right, and aimed up slightly. Direct hit, I took the top half of his tail off. His whole plane bounced around some, and I let another burst go. The rest of his tail came off, and he went cartwheeling to the ground. It was about then that Wolf told me he needed a hand, his plane already damaged, his last engine had stalled out because of the fuel leak. The last Su27 was sighting him up. Wolf, being a good pilot, was evading him - barely. I came in as fast as I couldnt, and let a burst off at the Su27. Only 1 round hit, but it was enough to pull his attention from my battered comrade. He flew straight at me. I flew straight at him. He fired with his guns.  I fired with mine - or tried to. When I squeezed the trigger, nothing happened. I was out of ammunition. His rounds smattered my plane, my left aileron was damaged, I wasnt sure how bad, but I knew it wasnt minor damage. My plane started to roll to the left, I fought it and just barely managed to keep my plane stable. I knew what I had to do, then. Wolf was out of the fight, gliding to a nearby stretch of farmland. I was damaged, and out of ammunition. The Su27 re-aligned with my plane, and came straight at me. I heard his gun fire, the rounds hit in a horrible noise. Another loud bang, and a screech. Engine 2 was on fire. Another few bangs, and another alarm. My fuselage fuel tank was on fire. I was done for. He flew closer to me, I deployed my airbrakes. He started to pitch up, too late. I jerked back on my control stick, my whole plane turning into a massive airbrake. I lost airspeed incredibly fast. I reached down, pulled the ejection handle just as the Su27 slammed into my plane. Both planes exploded in an incredible fireball. My pilot just barely made it out. Wolf made it to the ground safely, and landed. My pilot also made it to the ground, safely. That was a hell of a fight.
That's a true story, every bit. Wish I recorded it.
