I wish I had found your videos last year when I started quilting. I came across my grandmother's quilted blocks from a practice session from the quilting bee's I made wall hangings with 9 blocks with sagging, small border. I had no sewing machine then and never quilted in my life there was 4 wall hanging made one for each sibling plus my parents they came out ok I watched a lot of quilting videos so . Last year I got a hand me down from my mother I got her machine brand new she never used it so I oiled it up and sewing began I made my very first quilt I ripped and stitched it so many times I was going to give up but stuck to it and it was finished I am very proud of it I use it everyday I started a new quilt it's with the half square triangle which with practice I finally got it right so waiting for you to show how to do it in video #4 I don't want to skip lol thank you so very much my next quilt WILL be better

Hello from a sunny, somewhat chilly South Africa. Just love how articulate and well thought out your videos are. They must take a lot of time and effort. Thank you so much. I see another project coming up😀

Thanks for your video on the fence rail block.  You have answered so many questions that other videos didn't.  I'm in the stage of sewing the strip sets together, then cutting them.  I get 6, 6 1/2inch blocks out of one strip set.  I love your video, I have subscribed to them.  And that is a first for me.

Of all the Teachers for sewing or quilting You’re the BEST!!
I’m just wondering how I get all the downloads for the starting quilting . I have the number one and #4. But that’s it.

I'm new at quilting and just love your videos. They explain a lot and I'm a show me person. Love watching you. You explain everything so plain and slowly especially the different angles you have for cameras keep doing them, but am a little hard of hearing so please speak up a little louder. Thank you so much.

I really do want to make the beginner blocks and purchase the Tools. However I have Rheumatoid arthritis and one particular area is my right dominant hand. I've bought lots of Rotary Cutters and find I'm unable to use my right thumb to push or press the part that covers and uncovers the blade. I've watched you use the Olfa Splash and it looks quite easy to use. Would you be able to comment on whether or not the the push up and down feature is simple with slight pressure or it needs a lot of pressure. Maybe, one of the other ladies who have commented could give me an answer to this question. I've watched your beginners programme and love it so thank you for doing this series and thank you from the UK.

I am sure I missed the info on the stitch length. I usually use 2.5 with 1/4 in seam unless pattern says otherwise. I have read the pattern and did not see the stitch length either.
The tutorial is amazing with step by step instruction. Thank you so much.

Do you have your own site that we can download on apple ??? I'm a new quilter I love that someone is teaching and explaining what everything is and why. I also was told that when white is being used you always iron your material dark side up, but you didn't do that. Why!! Love your tutorials and thank you for your time, really appreciate it.

Love your method of teaching. Simple and direct! I've been quilting for awhile, and have just gone a long with the different terminology, not always knowing exactly what the terms might mean. Thank you for being so thorough as to explain all the quilting terms! :)

+Shabby Fabrics I just found your channel today because I am interested in learning to quilt. One question about using the sizing and ironing, do you need to wash your fabric first?

Making a quilt is on my bucket list and I purchased the kit full of anticipation. However, I am still working on the red squares and have used all the fabric that comes in the kit. No matter how hard I try I only get 6 inches across the top. Four tries has got to tell me something! Length is 6 1/2 but width is only 6. What am I doing wrong??? Please help.

Just finished the quilt block and mine measures 12 inches. I was sooo careful when cutting sewing my 1/4 " seam. What could have happened?

I hope the learn to quilt series (basic an intermediate) will remain on this site. I refer back to them often...

i want to ask this, you mentioned that seam allowance should be pressed towards the direction it goes, does it apply to when I make garments and bags or only for quilting? (hope my question makes sense)
