The eggbots were always slow to attack- the intention was more so when running at one or platforming they'd interupt you, not to be a real battle. Just like every other sonic game- enemies are obstacles, not really there to be hard to fight but rather to annoy and slow you down when you're trying to keep moving. Obviously they aren't gonna be that threatening, especially once you slow down.

Sonic Forces: A game where robots who cannot even aim their shots properly; somehow became one of top priorties to do many important tasks for Eggman.

Like protecting Eggman's secret lab, or making sure the death egg doesn't get destroyed.

Truly this is a job for robots that cannot even aim at a statue xD
