Kind of amazes me that WN carries more passengers than UA. I fly on both the UA MAX 8/9 nonstop between CLE & LAX on a fairly regular basis in First & have no issues flying on them. I retired from the airline industry 20 years ago that I began in the 1970s. First class (I know it's referred to a lot as Business today) is nothing like the service provided 50/60 years ago. Of course, fares have come down a lot over the past decades but food was served throughout the flight upfront, according to the meal course. Avgeeks would have a field day back them; Caesar salads prepared seat side, prime rib carved, etc., all on fine China. I do like that UA allows you to choose from 6 meal selections a couple of days in advance of your flight. Awww, to fly a 707 or DC-8S again!

United is a quality airline. One of the best trips I've flown with them was NRT-ORD on a 747-400 (it was a few years back - they don't fly the 747 anymore). Great airline, great aircraft and great crew!😎😀

Excellent report. The meal was well presented and inviting. The salad seemed very fresh. Good on United. Thank you for sharing your travels with us.

I love, love United Airlines, I've had such great experiences especially when going and coming back from Tokyo last year, what a service, what a great flight experience and even the meals were 3000% better than I ever imagined. Kudos to this video.

Thanks for the video! Im flying on a 737 max 8 soon. Im pretty sure I've flown on it before but for some reason im quire nervous about getting on one now (maybe cuz of all the news) but seeing this video and everyones enthusiasm and trust over the aircraft gives me a little more peace of mind. Maybe I'll even upgrade to business class!

I have flown a Max 8 twice with Southwest. Quiet and Comfortable and I have no qualms about flying it in the future. Anyway, probably the safest plane in the sky just now with all the scrutiny it has received of late.

I have no problem with the max 8. I have flown on the 8 and 9:00 several times with both Southwest Airlines and united. I feel that it is still safer than driving and Airlines can't make a living if their planes are crashing so I feel safe flying on them with the airlines that have them

O’Hare looked nice. That armrest was filthy though. Pilot didn’t waste any time on the runway!!

I flew on 737 max 8 last month going from Toronto to Vancouver and I feel like there is no problem flying on it when pilots retrained on the MAX from NG

Even w/ SAS’s departure from Star Alliance & Asiana’s takeover by Korean Air, United is still the best U.S. airline.

I would have no hesitation flying on any of the 737 Max series aircraft. I've flown on several already and had no reason to feel unsafe.
Let's face it over the years there have been many aircraft that initially got off to a rocky start from a safety point of view and they ended up being perfectly fine and very much loved.

My experience flying UA over the years has been that the entire flight from check in to arrival has been either all great or all bad, the food service being the deciding part of the trip. The meal you got was an Economy class meal served as Economy class, that was not First Class service. It was nice but not worth the cost! But in all fairness, no US carrier measures up to offering FC service. If I had a choice of carriers to fly on, UA would be my last choice but since AA and DL would also rank as last, UA would still be last of the 3. You mentioned you were flying DL A220 on to Seattle. Are you familiar with the A220? It isn't the same as the 737 Max 8 as it is much smaller. I hope you had a good trip on the A220. Thanks for sharing your trip and as long as you were happy with UA, that is the main thing!

So you had to fly from Chicago to Fairbanks to get to Seattle, why not Chicago nonstop to Seattle?

Hi. I work at ORD in the same parts you were in. Did you fly to Fairbanks for anything other than just to fly? Lol.
I have flight benifits myself and plan on flying a lot more.

I can't understand why so many videos make statements like "Chicago is the 3rd largest city....with a population of 2.xxx million people. In China, that's a suburb. The metropolitan population should be quoted instead and not the city, which was left behind seconds after the jet took off. It can be very confusing to many people abroad who see this endless suburbia below. They must think that Chicago has mostly empty houses.

Nice report....thank you. But why the circuitous from PHX to ORD to FAI? Wasn't there a flight through SFO or DEN?

You didn’t get offered a flat bed at “ First class “ but it looks like business class.
