Ronan Tynan & All of Boston sing God Bless America during the 2013 WorldSeries Red Sox Rolling Rally
Показать описание
Dr. Ronan Tynan sings God Bless America at finish line of the Boston Marathon, during the "Rolling Rally" for the 2013 World Series Champion, Red Sox. The crowd was incredibly quiet and then as the 2nd half of God Bless America began, they joined in and joined in they did... an incredible experience.
About 15 years ago while living in Manhattan I met Dr. Tynan. I was hosting a dinner at Bobby Vans Steakhouse for a group of clients and Ronan was generous enough to sit with us and talk a little bit about his life and how he's been blessed to sing for our country (being only months removed from 9/11, Ronan's voice offered a bit of comfort to all of America). During the dinner, I, being raised in the historic city of Quincy, MA and of course a diehard Red Sox fan asked if he'd ever consider singing for the Red Sox, he politely smiled and moved onto to the next question...
Fast forward to today, never could we have guessed that this many years later once again Ronan would be singing for America, in Boston this time, using his voice to offer the solace we received during 9/11 to help heal those of us affected by the Boston Marathon bombings...
In conclusion, though Ronan cherishes his years in NYC and loves his adopted city of Boston, he still believes the most important colors are not the ones worn on a teams jersey, but rather the ones that are on the color of the flag that's flying in centerfield. God Bless America and... GO SOX!
