Glowing LED Guitar

This LED Glowing Guitar cost me $120!
I seen this acrylic strat copy in my local pawn shop and had ideas for it straight away.
I bought it and took it home and started working on getting it playable. Also I reshaped the acrylic body to more closely resemble a Stratocaster and removed the marks and chips it had sustained in a previous life.
I also found that the screws that maintained tension on the springs for the bridge were stripped so I drilled them out and installed nylock nuts and used small bolts with countersunk heads to retain the claw that maintained spring tension.
The LED components came from some led Christmas candles and were installed inside the guitars control cavity to illuminate the bridge end of the body.
A second group of LEDs were installed under the neck pickup to illuminate the neck end of the body.
I installed a small micro switch on the pickguard to control the LED functions.
Hope you enjoy this video.

This is amazing. Thanks for the detailed explanation, especially about the LEDs and their placement! I've been hunting high and low for this kind of detail about the process. Even a post on Instructables skipped over many details. Cheers!

I didn't catch it in the video, what kind of batteries does it take? (Paul's specifically, not the off the shelf version)
