Questions, Questions, Questions. No matter how many times I've went over my lecture notes or created a document, I didn't know anything until I read it in a question.

About to take STEP 1 in 3 weeks dear Dr Webb. You have been an inspiration since I started this journey specially considering the adversities you had when you started some of which I share. Hopefully, I will do great to have the opportunity to apply to a competitive specialty just like you. Best wishes to you! Keep inspiring many others!

YouTube videos have been helping me with testing. I put them on while I have my headphones on at night before I go to bed.

I have not figured out a study technique for myself. I failed my teacher certification exam 4 times so I watch learning videos throughout the week to see what I'm missing. Now I have fear and haven't taken it in a few years.

Hey Dr. Webb! Thank you for your informative and insightful videos on being a doctor/student. In my studying, I have found that making study sheets of condensed notes has helped me to conceptualize what I am learning. They take a very long time to make but they are organized, colorful and to the point. I usually whiteboard, and talk it out with myself, or someone else to make sure I understand the material fully.

This is all really good advice. I’m about to be finishing up my first term of medical school and have definitely gone through some growing pains with regards to how to study and retain such a crazy amount of information. I’ve been making high yield documents for each exam from the beginning and I definitely think it’s a great technique for organizing and synthesizing things. It also helps with your first tip by making conceptualization easier when it’s all in one place.

I’m still struggling to keep to a super rigid study schedule, I’m kind of all over the place, just studying all the time without a great structure.

First of all, thanks for uploading videos, it’s gave me great insight. So I need help and anyone could answer, so my current situation I’m active duty in the Air Force, currently overseas, I’m going to become a physician (I’ll let rotations determine what speciality I’ll like) but I don’t really think I’m smart enough to make it through medical school. So as a pre-test I’m majoring in computer science and is working on getting my bachelors now. If I can manage to do great in this field then I’m convinced I can handle the intensity of medical school. So my question is, with me being very limited is there anything I can do now to get my foot into the medical field or is there books I can study to heighten my interests? Thanks I’m advance.

Hey Dr Webb, just a question do you think an app like Ankie would have helped you out instead of the document?

Dr. Webb you look stressed. Hopefully everything is alright. I am just at the end for a new beginning. Med school is my goal and I want to be there in 2 years.
