I propose that governments enact a policy whereby the amount of kilowatt-hours (kWh) charged per unit time should be reduced in direct proportion to any reduction in the advertised charging speed of an electric vehicle charger. In the event that a vehicle is limited in its charging speed below the advertised speed, charging should be disabled and the driver should be advised to use an appropriate slow charger.
