I genuinely feel Mattel Collector dolls have went down a steep hill in quality. Final products being different from their photos, factory defects like wonky eyes, black stains or smudges on their face, thin rooting, bad stitching, cheap material, etc.

This wouldn't be SO bad if not the price. Looks like this mermaid is quite lovely, and interesting use of the Claudette face mold. I just feel like their collector quality is what their playline quality used to be. Abd their collector dolls were made with high quality and utmost care.

She’s so pretty! I’d kind of given up with Barbie collector dolls as I felt the quality was declining. I have the mermaid they released back in 2012, which is really pretty. I love all the pink on this one though! Thanks for the close up look :-)
