Taylor stated that this song was inspired by her grandfather Dean landing on Guadalcanal in 1942. It can also be said to be inspired by given the times we are in right now, the pandemic and the frontline workers doing all they can to keep us safe.
Either way, it's a poetic song that paired with Narnia makes me all teary-eyed. I was so excited to see how you would interpret this, and you don't disappoint! ❤
