His overall point is valid but the Beatles thing is a bad example. They didn't use AI to generate new vocals that sounded like John Lennon. They used AI to isolate John's vocal track from a recording he made in 1977 that was previously unusable because of background noise. AI was able to isolate the vocals (in a way that traditional studio techniques couldn't) so they could mix it cleanly with the instrumental tracks and finish the song as it was originally intended. They were basically just remastering and mixing a lost Lennon song. It wasn't new material.
