The view from here: Super kudos to this judge. He obviously wanted to throw Flynn behind bars until he rots, but he wants to make sure that the public understands EXACTLY WHY Flynn should be behind bars until he rots. That will make it extremely difficult for any appeal, and would definitely demonstrate Trumps total lack of loyalty to the Constitution and the Rule of Law if he pardons Flynn. This is a serious lose-lose for both Flynn and Trump.
