Yosemite | 2-Day Itinerary in Yosemite National Park

Isabel and I set off on a month-long road trip through the Pacific Northwest. Our 2nd to last stop was Yosemite National Park. We had hoped to win the lottery to hike the cables on Half Dome, however, though we did not, we spent our 2 days exploring some incredible areas of the park to get a great sense of Yosemite.
Even in such a short time, we felt we got to see a lot of the park. From camping in the valley to hiking high above at Taft Point, we explore a range of sights in Yosemite National Park.
For anyone passing through Yosemite or for those who have a short time in the park, we highly suggest the following itinerary:
Day 0: Arrive late to Yosemite to your campsite (booked in advance).
Day 1: Wake up early to check out Yosemite Falls. You can hike to the top to get a good sense of the falls or the lower hike to see the water crashing down from below. Then head up to Glacier Point to get amazing views of Half Dome and hike Sentinal Dome and Taft Point. Finish the day at Tunnel View to watch the sunset.
Day 2: Wake up, enjoy The Meadows, and hike along the valley floor. Look for wildlife and enjoy the beautiful Merced River. Head over to El Cap to hike to the nose to watch climbers scale the wall and get a sense of how massive this wall truly is. If time allows, there are many more viewpoints and smaller hikes to do.
We felt this itinerary helped us really experience Yosemite in such a short amount of time.
