Just bought my first snowmobile a few weeks ago (1995 XLT 600) and shredded the drive belt doing 85 down a trail, being that I was by myself in the middle of nowhere I had to figure it out on my own, thank god I had cell service and a spare belt! Thank you so much!

Makes me sad that now you need a tool, I was swapping burnt belts on my old Lynx back in the 90's as a very young man. Good lesson for all those out there just getting into the sport🤙

dumb question but Do you grease the belt before you do this? i just tried it on my 02 edge 600 and the belt just kept grabbing the plates as try to spin and push down. Is it just cause its a heavy clutch spring?

My belt will not turn like that tried for over an hr No it does not turn that easy I have a 80 ski doo 500 ele Everest that needs a belt on it last yr when I rode it it squeals like crazy But oh well when no else can help you!!
