a simple mechanism that converts both clockwise (CW) and
counterclockwise (CCW) inputs to a CW output, acting as a rotation rectifier

the 2 freewheels are implemented as 2 differentials each one with a ratchet, I consider this freewheel technology obsolete

That's a really cool use of differentials. The ratchets could do with improvement though, as they generate a lot of friction and may work less well upside-down.
