Despite the recent failures of Marvel's Agatha All Along, Star Wars The Acolyte, Mad Max Fury Road and Star Wars Outlaws, Amazon's Jennifer Salke is intent on doubling down on female centric male driven brands, as she makes clear in a recent interview with Variety magazine.

If I was even half the failure at my job as these clowns are, I'd be fired in a week.

No one wants unlikeable girl boss narcissists. Not even girls. These characters are all self inserts from narcisistic writers/show runners exc. Thats why everything is flopping. There are no likeable characters, no character development (because the ones that the self inserts are based off of have never learned life lessons or bettered themselves) and all morals are thrown out the window because again, the narcissists these characters are based off of have no morals.

It has gone past narcicism into megalomania at this point. She'd be willing to torpedo the entire company in the pursuit of her own precieved dominance because she is a woman.

If Amazon buys LOtR and fucks it up, speaking as a lifelong Tolkien fan, they're going to face a backlash that's going to make the Star Wars fandom look like a fluffy kitten.

She should double down. After all shes only burning money and no one will watch the shows she makes. After all, im not losing any money and will watch other shows. An 20 years from now people will still remember Tolkein, his books and even the PJ movies. No one is going to remember rings of power.

And we saw how that worked out for Disney and Star Wars.

There is no Amazon studio, just Jennifer Salke's feminist flop factory.

They can buy it if they want to, but once it enters public domain it'll be beyond their control.

I have my Tolkien audiobooks and paperbacks. They may buy the quislings of the Tolkien family/trust, but they will never own our fandoms.

I haven't met one real woman who prefers women on screen over men, they all like the hunky heroes, the male cheeky comedians on panel shows & older distinguished male TV presenters.

These people really do live in a bubble if they believe even half of what they say. 😂

I've noticed that these kinds of people always just seem to call female-led products, to use their terms, "exciting." There never seems to be anything other than excitement.

It feels like they're not sure what to say so they just call it "exciting" or claim its "breaking new ground" (despite the fact that ground has been broken for decades).

It's worth noting that any Lord of the Rings exclusive rights will effectively terminate January 1, 2044, that is the date that Tolkien's works hit the public domain in any life plus 70 country.

And this is exactly why Amazon isn't even part of the streaming wars conversation. None of these companies ever learn.

They must really enjoy losing money. 😂

'Toxic' female fan here, we just want our beloved IP's well written again. It isn't much to ask, is it? I'm utterly sick of the 'Girl boss' trope. Our entertainment didn't need characters being sex swapped into insufferable little SJW's. Us ladies had been represented by the likes of Sarah Conner, Ellen Ripley & Leia Organa (I would be here all day with the full list) - it should have stayed that way too. The majority of all women would rather prefer to see Barbie. I believe when it comes to Sci-fi & action, us gals only make up 10% of that audience. Pretty sure most of that 10% feel like me & just want a return to amazing stories & great characters again. If those characters are male, then so what?

By "engaged" with Rings of Prime, they of course can only get that number by including Drinker, Nerdrotic, ME, etc. who make videos pointing out the flaws of it.

Wonder if there's anyone at Amazon studios who's involved with those Diddy parties???

Bady written characters in badly written reboots of existing properties don't sell and Amazon should know this by now.
Amazon's "Rings of Power" crashed and burned, a second season will be more of the same.
