If the dude stole $20 Dollars from a sweet shop he would be guilty. If he steals millions from the tax payers people get confused? WTF

All Manafort needs is one Republican base member in the jury and there is no unanimous conviction.

First, I want to congratulate the jury for being careful to look at the evidence for each and every one of the 18 counts. Second, in Virginia, I would assume that at least half of the jury, if they heard it, would take a Trump recommendation as a negative. Third, a jury savvy enough to understand the evidence is savvy enough to recognize that the judge is a jerk.

Somebody lied to be a juror on that trial to throw the case. And the judge got in the prosecution way!

relax folks they will have him in another trial for state charges...and if those jurors deny justice they will be hiding in shame and ridicule for years. the judge is going to get it just watch- his behavior will bring backlash that he will truly deserve.

I am not so sure if I can trust the jury and I wonder if there is any surveillance on their activities while they are out.

I think somebody got to that judge, his conduct is questionable

The Judge is not thinking ahead on this trial, or the decisions he has made seem partisan. Unlikely as it may seem, it looks like the latter.

they didn't work too hard knowing he's going to get pardoned.

I would suggest the defence had no need to present their arguments- the judge did it for them. Whether he thinks no one connected to Trump should ever be brought to trail or whether he thinks tax evasion & bank fraud is OK if the perpetrator is rich is unclear but he was certainly leading the jury all the way through.

And then to not sequester the jury so they can hear Trump weigh in on the possible verdict. Judge Ellis would find it hard to deny that he was simply an extension of the defence team rather than an impartial judge.

Realizing that all it takes is one Trump supporter on the jury, and they'll end up hung.

I think the Russians got to that Judge. They must've hacked into his home TV, and dropped a picture of his family on it with further instructions...
