AGL is Sportwashing your favourite footy team!

As sponsors of the AFL's West Coast Eagles, AGL’s logo is plastered on the players’ shorts and on the stands of the Optus Stadium. AGL’s hoping that by aligning themselves with your favourite footy team, you won’t notice that they’re cooking our climate. But, try as they might, this expensive branding deal can’t cover the reality that AGL cannot kick its coal obsession!

Greenpeace volunteers, activists, and comedian Dan Ilic headed off to a West Coal - whoops, Coast - Eagles game armed with our giant inflatable coal to see what West Coast Eagles fans thought of AGL’s sportswashing.
