DLA256 (X508GGO) is the 3rd oldest DLA (it has now become the oldest one since 8 April) in TfL service in Arriva London's fleet, and the oldest one in Thornton Heath Garage. With few stops, this part of route 198 is probably one of the best scenes to enjoy the tuneful whines from the Voith gearbox and GKN rear axle of a DLA.

As usual, of course, external mic was used to enhance the sound quality so that the tuneful whines could be enjoyed again. Thanks for watching and please feel free to leave any comments!

There's 15 DLAs all together at Arriva's Thornton Heath garage. DLA256 is the last Euro 2 DLA in service in London now. So catch it while you can!
