LifeBEAM has introduced a smart hat, which pairs with any ant+ or bluetooth fitness tracker or smartphone. It's compatible with Android, iOS, and Windows phones and tablets. I was able to pair it with my Garmin Vivoactive in 60 seconds without even having to read the manual, it was that simple!

In short, this is a fantastic alternative to uncomfortable chest strap heart rate monitors. I think I've found my new favorite way of getting heart rate data during my workouts!

Good review....I love this hat!! Do you find the calorie count on the Garmin Vivoactive low when using a HR monitor?

Hi Eric, wondering if you have had a chance to do a workout (besides running) with the hat? Like most people I don't like my chest strap and have been looking for something else that's nearly identical, when it comes to HR accurateness. I do crossfit training, ropes, kettlebell, etc. Wondering if the hat gets in the way or any other issues.
