Y2K Movie Review - It's 1999 all over again! Y2K is full of nostaliga all over the place. While it was definitely a fun trip down memory lane and pretty accurate at capturing that time of my life, it also doesn't bring much else to the table. This dark humor often misses the punchlines and the longer the movie goes on, the less interesting it gets.

Zegler bullsh*t aside, I WAS looking forward for this one but the first trailer and the tone and genre of the movie itself lost me on all accounts.

I hear ya, I'm pushing 2 25 coughcough ugh smh - on the flip side I still have my Y2K pamphlet that was handed out at my work. Honestly still no clue how my work even got them - I guess r government made them? Curious did a version of those make it in the movie? If it was yellow and green might have been the real deal. Can't wait to watch your full review!

This weekend was full of shitty movies. Saw Werewolves and it had nothing but a good concept going for it.

This movie was, simply put, awful. While I understand it was intentionally going for an over-the-top, cheesy vibe, it went so far that it ended up feeling outright ridiculous. As someone who grew up in the ‘90s, I caught all the references, but they added little to the experience. The nostalgia alone wasn’t nearly enough to salvage this trainwreck.

For the record, I’m not a Rachel Zegler detractor. If I disliked her, I wouldn’t have bothered watching the movie in the first place. I went in expecting to enjoy it, but it managed to disappoint me far more than I could have imagined. To be clear, the movie’s failure wasn’t her fault; no actress could have saved a story weighed down by a plot this absurd and stupid.
