Before anyone jokes about anteaters, please remember two things...
1) Anteaters have poor eyesight to the point that, unless you're in its face, it wouldn't differentiate you from a tree. This means they're paranoid and will swing at anything that gets too close to them.
2) Their claws are strong enough to rip through termite mounds, which are comparable to concrete. Most organisms tend to be softer than concrete. Anteaters have actually killed unlucky zookeepers.

It's for those two reasons that jaguars, the top predator of South America, hesitates to attack them.

1. I find Gigan like the movies funny and amazing about how some ant/bug species either went to a different planet or find an anteater on there’s and turned it into a terrifying monstrosity (ie something out of some horror film) and now it’s running shit with big G
