TI-NSPIRE Z score to Pval & Pval to Zscore NormCDF invNorm

I show you how to get a p-value from a z score, and get a z score from a p-value using a TI-NSPIRE using the NormCDF(lower limit, upper limit, mean, standard deviation) command and invNorm(p-value, mean, standard deviation) command.

Thank you for this. I don't mind using the Z tables, but our teacher (knowing that we have access to fancy TI calculators) expects us to give him 5 or 6 significant figures. Just enough precision that a Z table isn't feasible.

Hi, the nspire will calculate the right hand tail of the normal distribution. Enter the
z score in the wizard lower bound (where it defaults to -inf) and then enter inf
in the upper bound using [ctrl-catolog] to get the icon. Thanks!

How do you know if the answer would be negative or positive. for example: p(z > c) = .9203 when entered on a calculator its 1.40709 but the correct answer is -1.40709. I just wanted to know how you know when to switch the sign

I personally never use these calculutar commands in my class...so I am not sure about the NormPdf.

I am not sure. I like to make my students use the tables. I know when you do the stat tests on the calculator it gives you the option to either calculate or draw.
