In order to qualify for the the $10 Billion Dollar Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF) and receive a free government grant for mortgage expenses, you must prove a specific "Financial Hardship." This government homeowner's assistance program can give you, in some states, up to $50,000.00 of free money to pay delinquent and defaulted mortgage payments OR payments into the future if you are in a risk of default. And I found out that the programs that you mentioned haven’t started yet.
Which means the funds aren’t exhausted

With US bank they say the mortgage payments stay the same the the loan modification but they put you in good standing, but thought loan modification was to decrease your payments per month, and if that’s so would that qualification because I can’t afford the payments now

I have a USDA Rural mortgage and will be at the end of my forbarence in October so I am struggling as to what to do. Hi I just have a question for you about the ending of the forbearance. my husband and I both lost our jobs last year due to the COVID-19 and my husband found a job and I called to resume my payments I wanted to try to do a partial claim but it wasn’t even an option they told me that I wasfor the efficient COVID-19 owner occupied modification loan and now I’m really scared I don’t know what this means I haven’t worked so I don’t have any income for them to verify I’m just really scared could you please let me know what I should do??

If I have fha and qualified for 6 months of forbearance does disqualify me for the haf program

OK they gave me a modification for 3.1% which some people told me that it was good to get a 2.5% so I took what they gave me which lower my payments about $300 less than before If I still have problems making his payment and I am a FHA finance will I still be able to receive something through the Haf because I’m still having problems paying the mortgage what would I qualify for the Haf program

Thank you we are in the process of getting paperwork done to receive a mortgage grant for 6 months or mortgage or up to 9k through our city of Menifee in riverside county in Southern California that’s called CDBG-CV3 community Development Block Grant Coronavirus. I was told that once the grant you spoke about today is funded that we can apply for it as well because we have had our Fannie Mae mortgage on forbearance since last August and just asked for a third extension for 3 more months after October 31st. I hope they are right about what they advices us. That’s what I need you to please confirm about HAF? The new grant that’s not yet funded indicates that if we got help from previous grands and we still have back mortgage that’s not paid that we can still apply for the HAF grant
