He hired the guy NOBODY wanted. If this goes south, which it will, Jerry will have nobody else to blame but himself. Usually there’s a reason someone at a company doesn’t get promoted after 20 years of working there. You don’t get over looked for that long unless there’s a reason.

Kellen Moore, Deion Sanders, Mike Zimmer, Al Harris. I would've hired any one of these guys over Brian Schottenheimer. It's a lot like when the Bears hired Matt Eberflus a few years ago. This wasn't somebody all the teams looking for a head coach were lining up to interview right away. I don't mean to badmouth Brian, especially since he's the son of the late coaching legend Marty Schottenheimer, but this is the worst head coaching hire this year and there is no doubt that this will end up backfiring on Jerry Jones and the Cowboys.

Such a Jerry move. Due respect to Brian Schottenheimer but gotta wonder if Jerry hired the guy because he can control him much easier than hiring an experienced head coach. That being said, look at Sean McVay and Mike Mc Daniels both were new, young head coaches who have been successful. Good luck Brian.
