A lot of people dislike the anime, and for good reason, but Danganronpa: The Animation is what got me into Danganronpa, and for that, I will forever be grateful

Edit: I’ve just finished Trigger Happy Havoc, and after 6 months of on and off grinding, and I can say will full confidence, it’s a beautiful game, I almost cried when I finished it, but I can also say how pissed I am at the number of things they changed in the Anime, it feels like I watched a almost entirely different thing, and that just makes me plain sad :/

The anime was disappointing to me. Not BAD, just bad when compared to the game. WAY too short for the story. However, this is one of the good things about the anime. I love this opening.

*UPDATE* on my earlier comment: The western sales for Danganronpa are now more than Thank you so much everyone for showing these awesome games love:) Great to see that everyone loves them some battle between *hope* and *despair*. So good to see that this amazing franchise is supported and loved in the west:') 

Danganronpa really deserves the high sales it now has and let us make it even higher by buying Danganronpa Another Episode this Fall. I'll buy the Limited Edition so that I can support this amazing franchise more.

While the anime may be rushed, I love the duality of the opening and ending theme. The opening sings about hope, and the ending sings about despair and Makoto's paranoia and his (most likely) inner thoughts throughout the killing game, which he kept hidden to himself and on the outside was always encouraging and optimistic, trying to help calm the others

One slight detail I love is that all the survivors are on the bottom right then there is just Hiro as far as possible

other people may not like this anime but it was good enough for me to go on to watch the other two seasons and then play all the main games start to finish, currently on the third chapter of danganronpa v3
