Number of worldwide fans shouldn't be based on instagram followers. The most popular 3 teams in the world with the most fans are: 1/. Man Utd. 2/. Liverpool. 3/. ( Glasgow ) Celtic. Yes. Celtic from Scotland. Not really surprising when you think that Scots and their ancestors are found in all of the English speaking countries. Also, a big fanbase these days is East Asia, and Man Utd and Liverpool almost have a monopoly on fans in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore. I lived in Thailand for 24 years until 2020. The odd Chelsea and Arsenal fan could be found, but even Man City don't get a look-in.
