I paid into social security for TEN FULL years before becoming a teacher. So I have my full 40 quarters paid into social security, but I unfairly, don’t receive my full retirement, that I paid into because of this windfall provision. I am 70 a widow, my husband and I had been married 43 years, and I don’t receive anything as a spouse who passed away. I have been retired since 2012, so for 12 years I have lost this retirement income that I paid into social security for. Not at all fair
