Set in Dublin on Christmas Eve, The Seafarer tells the story of four old friends who meet up for their annual booze fueled Christmas ritual of camaraderie, conversation and a hand or two of cards. But this year they are joined by a stranger who brings along a bottle of the finest whiskey and a wallet full of cash and the men find themselves playing for much more than a few quid.

With a stellar cast and creative team bringing McPherson's extraordinary play to life on the Darlinghurst Theatre stage, O'Punksky's The Seafarer is the perfect sinister tale for a midwinter's night.
