Reminds me of a forgotten giant in Violin - Late Prof Rabin Ghosh, ex faculty of Rabindra Bharati University. A former Principal of Maihar college of Music and a true representative of great Maihar gharanaa of Ustad Allauddin khan and a sole "creation" of baba Allauddin in Violin. He was the "Guru-bhai" of Pandit Ravi Shankar, Ali Akbar Khan.
If anyone did not hear him playing the violin, then he had missed something in life!
