I think for magicians who are also sleight-of-hand artists - and so generally seek to disguise their true level of skill - this is just about the perfect casual false cut sequence.

Just enough panache to show familiarity with the cards, without making the flourish the main focus of attention (which of course is the whole point of cardistry, but not usually of card magic).

I love the flourish, but unless I'm doing it wrong, it's not a false cut. Just letting you know it's in the title and I wouldn't want someone to think it's a false cut. It's an awesome flourish, but not a false cut. Unless you added a charlier cut at the end..
