Helldivers 2 - Extraction Theme (Custom Mix)

The music that plays during mission extraction in Helldivers 2. Ripped from the files of the game, the track is composed of multiple segments (some 30s, 20s, 15s, etc.) which have to be stitched together. This is to allow for a more dynamic feel in-game. Because of that, the mix I made isn't 1:1 how it plays out in-game.

POV : You dive in as late reinforcements, only to cover the rear for the extracting squad, landing on the top of a tank and fighting the rest of the Automotons with only a Breaker shotgun and Senator revolver. As your position gets overrun but the team gets out.

It was the most heroic experience of my life. To die in the name of Freedom and Managed Democracy.

The OST in this game is hype AF.
This game really shines on the harder difficulties and there are hordes of enemies that just won't stop coming. I can't imagine muting the music for this game.

Favourite section is the buildup from 2:04 into the section at 2:18, which really captures the hectic nature of trying to stay on your toes as you fight off wave after wave

With this music in-game, I've had cinematic experiences of being the only survivor with no ammo; climbing onto the ship backwards while unloading the last couple bullets from my revolver.

Good stuff. Would play again.
