Don't believe the hype that this is a bad movie.... this sequence alone is masterfully done in its execution. Cut well, in its long build up. It takes its time to show Michael Beck's emotion and conflict going on as he contemplates what to do to win back the woman he loves. And with ELO in the soundtrack, its a great sequence, and don't get me started on the "dancin" song sequence. Great movie!

Best movie ever. We had one of those HUGE satellites when I was a little girl, and my dad stayed up until 4 a.m. one night to record this for me. XANADU was my fav movie and we couldn't find it in the video store. I'll never forget that 😀❤

I woke up with the haunting sound of this song in my head…it’s almost 2022, and this song/movie is from what, like, 1980?!!!? 😂 I can’t remember yesterday, but impressionable experiences like the movie and soundtrack of Xanadu, from when I was TEN, are burned into my brain and heart…wow! Big compliment to ELO, Gene Kelly, The Tubes, and the ever-beautiful Olivia Newton-John.

Even during the 70's and 80's, there wasn't another group like ELO. It was such a great sound and I don't think a replacement will ever fill that certain void. I'm just glad they have a large list of songs to pull from even now.

I love how Gene Kelly (Danny) told him to go find her, because he knew that she was something special and magical. I’m pretty sure he realized that she was the same muse that inspired him. But Danny tells Sonny to go get her and to believe that there’s a way to get to where she is. Sonny finally takes that leap into the supernatural world. As for me, I would have face-planted into that wall. 🤣
