How To Wire An Outlet (The right way)

This method of wiring a plug would not meet code where I live. We cannot pass the live along the circuit through the plug and must use pigtails to connect to the plug.

Tighten the loops with needle nose after putting them on the screws. Loops need to be under the screw for 3/4 of the circle, that's code.

Question, I'm redoing breaker box and running all new wires, my homerun goes to 1st outlet is that the only pigtail I need or does each outlet need a pigtail jumping down the line?

Great video, but something MAJORLY important is getting the right wire. 14/2 is for 15 amps, 12/2 is for 20 amps

How many inches out of the box should the wires be? I do t want them too long or too short?

I was changing an outlet and one ground wire is just cut off at the plastic casing and touching nothing. The other wire is grounded on the green screw. Is there is something I need to do to make is safe? There is not enough room to cut them off and start over correctly.
