I currently work off and on for several temp agencies in the south. They prey upon the desperation of people by violating your right to know the type of work you’ll be doing. One time they offered me an assignment verbally at a higher rate but when I accepted it and got the details it was 2 dollars less per hour. They intentionally blur the lines between employee and employer to skirt the law and not offer benefits. They usually (for general labor) hire more (underpaid) workers than they need and in my experience are always disorganized

Thank you for this cause I can't deal with full-time or permanent working anymore I can't deal with people and the politics..

It is 💯% Truth just how you described about these toxic workplaces that are corrupted, racist, unappreciative, extremely demanding beyond reason, and plagued with favoritism.

Thank you Ma’am, You is 100%correct!! I ABSOLUTELY HATED the way the QA would talk down to us production workers. Temp agencies absolutely suck. I wanted to switch from production to shipping and I got fired for wanting to switch! They done lied, and said I came in drunk and smelling like alcohol. I’m actually allergic. What pieces of work! Stay away from temps it’s not worth the aggravation!

You are so on point sister. Lets talk about how they work the temps harder than the workers of that company

I’ve worked for several temp agencies since 2014. I love temping. I have freedom to do what I want to do. When I’m not available I just say I’m booked.

You articulate your thoughts beautifully on this video because I cannot abide toxic personalities in permanent jobs, which explains my fondness for temporary to permanent positions to safeguard my well-being and sidestep

💯%facts!!!
Temp work used to be my side gig back in the days.
I liked the flexibility because i was a FT student & could try out a
company before being hired on FT.❤🎉😊

I loved working Temp or Temp to Perm. I get to see if I like the employer and vice versa.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR A VERY TRUTHFUL DIALOGUE ON BEING A TEMP WORKER.
I LIKE TEMPORARY WORK BECAUSE WHEN I WORK PERMANENTLY WHENEVER I START TO FEEL LIKE OR BEING WORKED LIKE A SLAVE THEN I AM READY TO MOVE ON TO ANOTHER JOB.
GREAT VIDEO. YOU BROUGHT BACK SO MANY MEMORIES.
THANK YOU.

Hello there, I recently resigned from a permanent position 3 weeks ago that I no longer wanted to work in the organization anymore. I relocated to a new city 3 years ago but the salaries are horrible and I have a Masters degree. I’m moving back to my home state and reached out to a temporary agency today that I worked for back in the day to have a job ready once I return or possibly remote work right away. These organizations are full of narcissists snd everyone is miserable. The pros are the benefits. But I’ve worked with agencies back in the day that only staff for corporate clients and healthcare professionals and I was satisfied with the pay of course they take a cut but if you are still receiving assignments for $28 and up and getting paid every week it’s not bad. Im moving from ATL, back to NYC where the salary is higher. Atlanta is almost as expensive to live as NY however the pay rate doesn’t match and I was working in the Department of Finance in City of Atlanta. It’s horrible.. while they expect you to work extra hard. Yes, there’s jealousy, gossiping, competition triangulation etc..

Thank you for this information. I'm a full time worker and would consider it because I'm sick of the bs, bad treatment, and bad politics at my current company. I show the same respect to temps as the full time workers, I noticed generally they seem happier. You are absolutely right about the permanent workers (including myself) being miserable.

Everytime I worked at a Temp agency hoping to get hired permanently it never happened. The highest paid i got was $25 to $30 an hour

Speak on it! I encountered similar situations several years ago as a temp worker. The jealousy and resentment is real!

I am not an immigrant or undereducated, I am plain old tired of Corporate Jobs. I love temp work because it’s flexible and they do the work of looking for employment for you. The negative is that they sell you to an employer if they want to hire you permanently as you are contracted by them. Thanks for the pros & cons sis.

Yep. It be like that Sis.
More money as a temp, but sometimes the workers don't know most of the time temps don't get benefits like they do, unless we pay for it out of pocket.
Hey, in spite of their complaint, STILL got to Work.😊

A while back, I was laid off, I was hired by a temp agency, they are just looking for bodies, to have in thier pool. I met an employee temp to hire, 2 years later, she was still not hired by company, also my position was for packaging in manufacturing, yet I was put as a machine operation much harder work cheap labor, while the temp agency was making money for every hour I worked
Thank god, I left as soon as I found a job directly with a company.

I worked for a company that also had temporary workers and it was definitely a separated situation. At the job we sew home decor products and sometimes there are a lot sitting around from new hires practicing . They finally let us take some good quality blankets home. But not before the permeant workers were pulled aside to say the blankets are only for the perm workers because there expensive. That was so weird to me . Even after we all grabbed the ones we wanted there were still some left over that they will eventually throw away. But the temps can’t have any ??? Smh
