It seems that Kunlun glass is the next best thing to resist drops.

Huawei keeps doing this great. If they weren't banned, they would be the best manufacturer out there: great screen, camera, ingress and drop resistance, etc. What a pity the lack of 5g.

Other reputed manufacturers keep doing the same cellphones year after year...

I remember the pain of dropping P20 Pro from a body height on the ground (with phone case on) once and the screen stops working entirely. I ended up have to pay $150 usd for screen replacement and lose 1 month of photo data because the phone won't let me access the internal files via computer that actually requires you to manually tap on the screen to allow usb access. Sadly the motherboard is now permanently unusable two years after that screen replacement, it's pretty much a e-waste and almost looks like a planned obsolescence. I'll think twice of getting any huawei devices in the future even if they fixed the fragile screen drop issue.

As someone who owns an S23U, this makes me jealous. Corning Gorilla Glass V2 is too brittle for a curved screen.

Huawei makes some good hardware. Loved my Nexus 6P. Until it bricked itself. Now it's just a beautiful paper weight. 😆
