Which KOOPALING Is The Best? - Super Mario Series (Ranking/Tier List)

In today's #supermario #tierlist / #ranking of the enemy/character/power up/item series we are going to look at the origin, secrets, timeline, story, lore, mysteries and history of the #bosses called the koopalings seen in a lot of super mario games, but not #supermariomaker2 for the nintendo switch. He was seen in the super mario bros games made by nintendo. We have seen mario in games like super mario bros, super mario world, super mario land, super mario galaxy, new super mario bros wii, super mario 3d land, super mario 3d world, new super mario bros u deluxe, super smash bros, mario kart 8 deluxe and there is even in the new super mario odyssey for the nintendo switch. However in what ways did our hero try to stop bowser, bowser jr, boordals, koopalings and others together with peach, luigi, toad, waluigi, wario, pauline and more. I was always a Ludwig fan when I first played Mario on the Wii as 7 year old. He just looked so cool. It was enhanced when i saw the cartoon and saw him as Kooky.

I feel that things like generic moving platforms in the boss fights don't really count for ranking the Characters themselves, so my listing is more about the Originality in how each Koopaling set themselves apart from their siblings in battle, with similar tactics prioritizing who used it first. General Appearance will be Minor in my Ranking as well.

Going Low to High, my choices are:
#7 - Larry: It's actually fairly inconsistent as to the age order of the younger Koopalings, with different sources contesting that Larry, Iggy or Lemmy are the youngest - and one (the Cartoon) even saying that Iggy and Lemmy are twins, and *both* are youngest! If you've noticed that I'm not really talking about Larry's battles, that's because there's nothing to say - Larry has always had the most unoriginal strategies, either relying on platform mechanics or copying another Koopaling's tactic (like in SMW, he was just Iggy #2) to offset his ultra-generic attack pattern.
#6 & #5 - Roy & Morton (Tie): This will probably be my more contested opinion, but hear me out - battle-wise, both Roy and Morton are _almost identical!_ Both of them rely on charging around, quake stomping, or using a weapon or the terrain to make their previously mentioned attacks harder to avoid. I only put Roy at #6 under Morton because he's arguably *less* original, as you always fight him later on, and he just tries to one-up Morton in his tactics!
#4 - Lemmy: This could've been another tie, but the more recent games pushed the other Koopaling just a bit higher, more about that at #3. Lemmy is unfortunately a one-trick pony, though his variety in the use of his Circus Balls pushes him slightly ahead of #5 & #6. They give him a unique focus that ensures that a battle against him is _never_ like one with any other Koopaling.
#3 - Wendy: Another Koopaling with a unique-element focused battle style, Wendy only pushed ahead of Lemmy in her last few appearances - despite her heavy usage of those arm-rings that rebound off the walls, floor and ceiling, she got ahead with creative use of Ice and Water physics (things that are known to hinder the Mario Bros' abilities) in her attack pattern.
#2 - Ludwig: He had been #1 for a long time, due to his always optimized attack patterns that expand on his siblings', and trying most to battle like 'King Dad'. It almost got to where he'd drop in the rankings for being _too much_ like his adoptive Father - and then he learned *magic.* The additional combat advantages these spells give him are numerous - Cloning, Levitation, and advanced Homing Magic are things he has used in recent fights against Mario. Still, other Bosses have used similar abilities before - the potential of his magical ability will eventually get him back on top - only one of his siblings has been more original as of late, temporarily snatching the top spot from him...

#1 - Iggy: Iggy has often been at the forefront of innovation when it comes to strategy, starting as early as Super Mario World, but as he's usually been an earlier boss he didn't put up much of a fight. Fast-forward to New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and it seems the long gap of time has affected Iggy the most compared to his siblings - he's grown tall and lanky, and he went from a multi-coloured mohawk like Lemmy, to what can really only be described as a Plant of some kind! What hasn't changed is how unpredictable his strategies are - even more so since he's grown crazier after all that time. First time you face him, he'll taunt you by slapping his butt! Second time, he shows up in a Chomp-Chain pulled sled - _and_ you have to avoid the giant angry Chomp while waiting for Iggy to become vulnerable again! In NSMBU, he changes things up again - as well as _which way Up is!_ You'll face him in a room with four Warp Pipes in each corner of the room, but when Iggy comes out from one of the top two, he'll be running on the ceiling! Naturally, like this you can't do anything to hit him, so you have to wait for him to come back down - all the while, he's free to fire triple-shots at you...

With the fact that future battles against him will likely be completely different each time, Iggy Koopa is currently Top of the Pack when it comes to Koopaling Battles!
