Nationwide rollout of e-waste recycling bins begins

From July, people will be able to discard their old laptops and batteries in more than 300 e-waste recycling bins located in public areas. Four of the bins can now be found at supermarkets and Harvey Norman outlets.

Here in Switzerland we’ve had that for years. There is a small levy on new electrical products and every shop that sells must take them back for recycling, we even have large multi car drive-in recycling areas!

They are just recycling e-waist to extract the gold. There are very big industries that do just that..

Oh great, that is awesome, because when I am stripping ewaste and cherry picking all the good parts and I end up with a bunch of plastic and low priced goods, it would be great to have somewhere to put it. :)

That is not proper way to dispose bulbs into that recycle booth can cause of broke and that will harms to humans because bulbs and some other products There is an element of mercury and that is not classified under E-waste category
