I was looking at the HP19 for prone surf foiling for a number of reasons - (1) i was planning to attach it to an older surf board and figured I'd need some extra lift given the board's size, (2) - the HP15 and HP17's are currently sold out in my area, (3) i'm a novice and figured it would help me learn to pump and chain waves together (over getting an HP13 instead, for example), and (4) i'm 6'1" 205lbs, and similar to (1) I figured I'd need the extra lift out of the HP19 given my size. I'd be using this for prone surf foiling in small North Carolina (USA) waves. Tucker, do you think this is a terrible idea? I heard you say you don't recommend the 19 for surfing, just wanted to clarify your experience a little further. Thanks

Nice review! which size of the wing you suggest for surfing? I was thinking to use with the Prone Foil from JP. My weight is 175lbs, intermediate surfer but totally new with foil surfing. Thanks !

Thanks for the review, did you try to windfoil with the hp19 wing and long fuselage? I think its great for winging BUT for windsurf foil with a 6, 8 it's not as good as the old large wing. Maybe its too big so its flexing too much. I cant stand on the rail and go upwind and its very slow and boring, it feels like it got some weed stuck on it. I use the old 75cm alu mast and the tb adapter and 91cm wide slalom foil board. This combo works great with the old glide large wing but not with the hp19, any clue why?
