As a Canadian, I can't even THINK about how pricy games will get over here.

To clarify, a 60 USD game is 80 CAD here, so TotK was 90 dollars.

Mario Kart World could either be a $100 dollars or even higher, it's insane.

I remeber hearing that gta 6 was going to cost 100 bucks, I guess Nintendo heard that and also heard the hype around the game and decided to also pay 80-90 for their games as well

Why is Mario Kart World so expensive?

-General game prices were increased by $10.
-The games are on the carts unless the game is too big to fit on it.
-Mario Kart is $80 and the entire game is on the cart.
-Larger games that require more expensive carts to fit the game on the cart cost an additional $10 because if they didn't no third parties would use them and they'd be digital only.
-Games that use more expensive carts cost $90 but only costs $80 for the digital version because the more expensive cart is no longer a factor.

The problem I think most people have with this price is that now Nintendo has set a new standard just like what Sony did with the PS5.

If Mario kart sells as well as Mario kart 8 did, every new AAA game will cost $80 dollars

I think the reason why it $80 is because they new is because they new there console we’re going to go up in price because of the new tariffs and knowing that it will deter customers away so they decided to charge $80 for Mario cart because they feel confident people will pay that price because well it’s Mario kart.
Now I still think should charge $70 for it atleast for the digital version because digital games aren’t affected by tariffs and it is specifically done to make up some of losses they will get from customers.
