These are really not the myths about Rotary that prevail. These are just questions that people who are already willing to join have. Those not willing to join have drastically different concerns about what Rotary ‘really’ stands for and is about. The myths about that are what a video like this should probably address.

Bad taste in my mouth. Joined 1.5 years ago. Was going well, I was all in. I asked my club for a suspension due to an increasedwork load at my job and some family health issues. Next, I got an email from the district governor saying he was sorry to hear that I was leaving the club and offered help in me finding a different club. What the hell? I only asked for a 3-6 month suspension. I quit. The way my request was handled was a joke.

A former boss of mine claimed at an assembly of Rotarians that the latter of people of high moral integrity and rectitude. He made sure that the event had a national coverage. As an employee, I knew he was just a crook, ready to engage in any shady deal, just for money. His philosophy could be summed up in one word: "profiteering".

I'm sure this is true in most communities but 'dinosaur' clubs still exist where your myths still cling to life! Best of luck in changing them!

Zero substance here, my concern is why I've never seen an apple orchard or a peach tree in any park in Ontario, I see rotary branded benches and a lot of sod, no food trees through.. Food is abundant, scarcity is manufactured!
