Once you have access to Mysterious Room, you can complete level 1-26 to gain access to the endless mode which will give you more exp, making this method possible with only the growth badge needed.

Here's a summarised checklist to ensure that you are able to gain levels as shown in the video.

1. this is done in endless mode which means you have cleared level 1-26 on normal mode. I have another video to show how you can level up to 99 without mysterious room and use them to clear normal mode.

2. Pick Kogen as the floor boss as you face 6 enemies in the first 2 rounds and 3 in the boss round.

3. from what I tested level 40 and above only requires 1 growth badge. Level 20 requires 2. you can test for the level 30 range. Remember to Save before each attempt so you can reload just in case.

4. Have only 2 members in the party to maxmise the experience gained

I dont know if this is obvious or not. But characters gain xp based on enemy lvls and their own lvls scaling down. Thats why fighting the same enemies at higher levels grants you minimal xp and prevents you from grinding early on. Being that it takes a static 1000 experience points per level its better to put exp gain items on the lower characters since it benefits them more. This was the same leveling system used in suikoden 1 and 2, which helped lower level characters catch up faster.
To sum it up. An enemy that gave you 300 xp at level 5 may give you 100 xp at level 6 and so on

This didnt work for me at all, i put nowa and momo, added yulin gave now exp badge and still 450 exp per battle at lvl 94.

i just made it to the desert and im almost level 50. i dont think i need lvl up tricks for this game lol

I have a question. I took nowa into endless and got hime to 99 and it made every character 99. Is that intended?

I don’t get how your Isha was getting that much EXP. I have ascend badges and Yulin and my Isha is 67, and she takes 5+ battles to level up.
